Drives and Gears
In the last two decades Uni-systems has completed hundreds of projects aimed to increase capacity, reliability and energy efficiency of the sugar and ethanol industry . We have provided new modern and compact gearboxes to replace obsolete open type transmission sets, single and multi stage turbines, electrification of complete factories with medium and high voltage DC/AC motors, planetary gearboxes to replace obsolete gearing sets, high efficiency impulse or reaction type steam turbines for mechanical drive or for co-generation projects. We provide advisory services in optimizing each application and selecting the appropriate equipment from any major brands. Since 1998, Uni-systems has worked in cooperation with TGM Turbinas a leading turbine manufacturer worldwide, in providing or upgrading steam turbine mechanical drives, turbogears, in supplying steam turbines for power generation up to 70 MW in one unit, as well as in retrofitting milling transmission sets. The following list includes some of the most relevant applications in the sugar, alcohol and power industries.
