Uni-systems has moved big steps forwards in distillation techniques by partnering with Citrotec®, a Brazilian company with innovative designs and solutions for the alcohol industry.

 

Citrotec®, in conjunction with Etech offers sophisticated distillation and dehydration modules which combine an incomparable product quality with the highest thermal efficiency. Pioneer in the application of turbulent mist evaporators in vinasse concentration systems, Citrotec® is today a leader in the design of integrated distillation and vinasse concentration modules with extremely low energy consumption.

Also, conscious of the environment and the need to find a definitive solution for the disposal of the vinasse, Citrotec® and Uni-systems have teamed to offer to the industry, a newly designed vinasse drying systems based on YB® technology which results in viable costs and unmatched energy efficiency.

 

A new technology is also being tested by Citrotec® to provide a definitive solution to the vinasse problem. The new patented pending process,developed by Yokoya-Basilio, consists in the converting vinasse into volatile fatty acids (VFA). The produced chemicals are approved REACH components,  a requisite to attain CER's under the CDM program thus converting pollutants into valuable by-products and the distillery into a ZLD facility.

Citrotec® is also a leader in the design and manufacturing of evaporative condensers for application in any vacuum systems such as concentartors, vacuum pans, evaporators and power generation systems.
